Munck Carter’s William A. Munck Reappointed to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Board

September 1, 2010

DALLAS – Attorney William Munck, managing partner of Dallas’ Munck Carter LLP, has been reappointed to the board of directors for the Dallas chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation not only funds basic diabetes research but also is helping transform scientific developments into cures, treatments, drugs and therapies. Among other things, the foundation finds and fills gaps in research to bring about cures as quickly as possible. Mr. Munck holds a personal stake in finding a cure for juvenile diabetes; his two sons were diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at an early age.

“The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is an important organization that’s fighting for a cause that’s close to my heart,” says Mr. Munck. “I am proud to be a director of this group again as we work together to help the many people who must deal with this curable disease every day.”

Mr. Munck served previously on the board for the Dallas chapter from 1999 to 2005. For his current three-year term, Mr. Munck will focus on planning and government relations.

“We are proud to have Bill Munck as a board volunteer leader,” says Mary Hollock, executive director of the Greater Dallas Chapter of the JDRF. “Bill’s business acumen is essential to helping the organization grow beyond its current reach and attracting more funding for research from the greater Dallas area. As a parent of boys with Type 1 diabetes, Bill is a strong champion for the JDRF and its focus on hope through research.”
