Alexander “Alec” Morovitz is an associate in the complex litigation/dispute resolution group where he focuses on commercial litigation and intellectual property disputes.
Alec applies a unique background bridging science and law to represent clients in a variety of patent, trademark, and intellectual property matters. He is a registered patent attorney and holds a B.S. in biology, graduating cum laude from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Alec received his J.D., graduating cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. In law school, Alec served as associate managing editor for the SMU Science and Technology Law Review and as president for the Intellectual Property Organization.
While in law school, Alec completed a judicial externship with Federal Magistrate Judge Renee H. Toliver for the Northern District of Texas.
