Emily S. White is a principal attorney practicing in the technology/intellectual property law group. Emily focuses her practice on patent and trademark preparation and prosecution, and helping clients to commercialize their proprietary innovations.

Emily represents numerous Fortune 500 companies, startup companies, and individuals seeking to obtain domestic and international patent protection for inventions in various technical areas. Her practice includes preparing and prosecuting domestic and international patents in a variety of technical areas including wireless telecommunications, mobile devices, artificial intelligence (AI) of virtual assistants, video image processing, industrial process control, semiconductor devices and fabrication methods, optics, computer hardware and software, cooling and heating systems, farm equipment, document preservation systems, wastewater processing systems, and energy technologies.

Emily also represents clients seeking to develop and obtain trademark protection for a portfolio of brands. She has prosecuted trademark applications for businesses in the fields of financial services, surgical implants, apparel, souvenirs, graphic novels, computer and mobile device games, and industrial equipment.

Prior to joining the firm. Emily worked in-house as Head of Legal at a multinational cloud-computing cybersecurity company. Previously also, Emily managed legal and commercial matters for EDP Renewable North America, the fourth-largest wind developer in the United States. Hence, she has a wealth of experience negotiating commercial and technology transactions with customers, vendors, and strategic business partners.

Prior to law school, she served as an electrical engineer at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. She was frequently called upon as a consultant in mediations, and as an expert witness in hearing of electric cases at the Commission. She earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University and received her J.D. from Arizona State University School of Law.
