James M. Slominski
James M. Slominski is of counsel and a member of the firm’s technology/ intellectual property law group. His practice focuses on intellectual property litigation involving patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.
James has extensive litigation experience in both state and federal courts, including many jury trials taken to verdict, as well as mediations, arbitrations, and administrative agency proceedings such as the International Trade Commission. He also has extensive experience in tort litigation, including products liability, wrongful death, and general civil litigation.
James received his J.D. from Arizona State University and holds an M.S. in aerospace engineering from San Diego State University along with a B.S. in civil engineering, with honors, from the University of Nebraska. Prior to practicing law, James was a senior engineer at General Dynamics Corporation in advanced structures and weapons systems.
He is admitted to practice before the State Bars of California, Florida, and Massachusetts. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Central and Northern Districts of California.
