Nicole “Nicky” Paige is an associate practicing in the firm’s litigation group. She focuses her practice on high-stakes complex commercial litigation, employment & labor law, and employment litigation.
Nicky earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School. While in law school, Nicky worked for three years as a research assistant for renowned Notre Dame corporate law professor, Julian Velasco, and is cited in multiple corporate governance law review articles. Additionally, Nicky was a member of Notre Dame’s Moot Court Board, and one of only 25 candidates selected for membership, out of a class of approximately 180 students. While on Moot Court, Nicky drafted multiple appellate briefs related to fourth amendment, first amendment, and freedom of speech issues, and argued in front of United States District Court and Circuit Court judges. Furthermore, Nicky was Managing Senior Editor for the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy and her student note, Appeal Waivers: When Must They Be Raised?, was selected for publication.
During law school, Nicky worked as a student attorney in the Notre Dame Economic Justice Clinic where she represented clients in consumer law, debt collection, and housing-related matters and argued in South Bend district and superior court on behalf of her clients. Nicky also externed for Chief Judge Chapleau and Judge Reagan of the St. Joseph Superior Court, was an avid member of Notre Dame’s Women’s Legal Forum and Business Law Forum, and volunteered for Notre Dame’s Expungement Clinic. Additionally, in her free time, Nicky worked as an Assistant Rector for Notre Dame, where she counseled young female undergraduates.
Prior to law school, Nicky attended top ranking University of California, San Diego where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science, with an emphasis in international relations, and a bachelor’s degree in history. Nicky graduated cum laude and earned University of California, San Diego’s highest award in political science, the Dewitt Higgs Award for Excellence in Law and Public Policy, due to her academic excellence and her award-winning honors thesis. Nicky additionally attended the prestigious University College London where she studied history.
