Attorney Bio
Stephanie H. Elovitz serves as corporate counsel and director of recruiting for the firm. Stephanie is a litigation attorney who focuses on legal recruiting, staffing and collections for the firm. She has experience in claim investigation, collection efforts, demand letters and responses, reviewing contracts, calculating liquidated damages and negotiating settlements.
Stephanie leads the firm’s talent acquisition efforts with a specific focus on attorneys and the successful integration of their practices into the firm. She brings an innovative and strategic approach to talent acquisition and integration that is grounded in best practices across recruiting, business operations, diversity and inclusion initiatives, marketing, business development, and client service. She plays a key role in the firm’s initiatives to increase the diversity of our legal personnel and also assists with the firm’s involvement to produce S.H.E. Summit Dallas, a women’s empowerment event aimed at cultivating women and men leaders that the firm hosts annually.
Stephanie received her B.B.A. in marketing from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993 and earned her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1996. She has extensive legal recruiting experience with both a large national staffing firm as well as a Texas-based boutique firm. Prior to joining MWM, Stephanie utilized her broad range of legal experience to bring a unique perspective to her role as executive director for Okon Hannagan, PLLC.
Representative Experience
- Handle collection efforts for client, including reviewing contracts, calculating liquidated damages, communicating with client, and drafting demand letters;
- Manage division of legal recruiting and staffing for firm, handling placement of attorneys and all other legal personnel across all offices;
- Monitor staffing needs and manages recruitment efforts, vetting, and interviewing of staff and attorney candidates.
