Vindra Richter is an associate practicing in the firm’s technology/intellectual property law group. Vindra’s expertise is in assisting large portfolio clients in maintaining, enhancing, and protecting their intellectual property. She regularly advises companies on trademarks, copyrights, and other soft IP matters that includes branding and licensing as well as prosecution and enforcement actions at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and in the federal courts.
Vindra’s extensive experience and versatile background are well in line with MWM’s trademark, copyright, and soft IP practice as the firm continues to handle thousands of trademark applications and registrations worldwide for clients across several industries including technology, gaming, pharmaceutical, fashion, food and beverage, luxury goods, and healthcare. Her practice experience includes time both in-house (at the Conair Corporation as a trademark paralegal) and at firms such as Weil Gotshal and Manges and Abelman, Frayne and Schwab in New York City.
Representative Experience
- Responsible for all aspects of U.S. trademarks’ prosecution, litigation, and maintenance, including Responses to Office Action, TTAB filings, Recordation of Assignments and Security Interests;
- Represented clients in management of trademark, copyright, and domain name portfolios; opposition and enforcement programs including U.S. and foreign custom control; investigate, evaluate, and manage possible infringements; negotiate and draft trademark licenses, consent letters, co-existence, and settlement agreements;
- Conducted IP due diligence of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and domain names; review of chains of title; drafted opinions and preparation of report-ready charts summarizing search results.
