Jenny Martinez

Jenny co-chairs MWM’s complex litigation/dispute resolution section. Her business litigation experience spans multiple practice areas, including finance, technology, employment, real estate, and securities. Jenny is a part of MWM’s defense team for Galderma and her experience includes the landmark Deepwater Horizon litigation, where she was a key member of the defense team for Halliburton.

Jenny recently expanded her family with the adoption of her daughter, who has been with Jenny’s family since she was an infant. She is also mom to three very active teen boys.

Jenifer has a unique legal practice that focuses on IP litigation, business litigation, and entertainment. In IP and business law, Jenifer routinely counsels companies on their trademark portfolios and copyright infringement matters. She also serves as general counsel to large and small companies, handling their corporate and litigation needs.

In entertainment law, Jenifer acts as general counsel to production companies, counseling them on their corporate structure, negotiating with networks on their behalf, and drafting all necessary entertainment and business documents.

Jenifer once ran for and won public office as a city councilman in Homewood, Alabama (a suburb of Birmingham).

Melanie Okon

Melanie began her legal career working as a briefing attorney for Justice Greg Abbott at the Texas Supreme Court. She then worked at two large law firms before serving as in-house counsel for Energy Future Holdings Corp., a fortune 500 company. Melanie returned to private practice and became a name partner at two women-owned law firms, before joining Munck Wilson Mandala.

Melanie represents a global retail home improvement store and a regional waste management company among other clients. She has successfully served as lead trial counsel in multiple jury trials across Texas. When she is not fighting for clients, Melanie captains a tennis team of awesome women and spends time at the lake with her three children.

Audrey co-chairs MWM’s employment and labor group with 40 years of experience as both an HR pro and an attorney. Audrey represents clients in matters involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, and she guides businesses in proactive measures to avoid litigation.

Audrey offers on-site HR training on anti-harassment, diversity/inclusion, and other topics for employees and managers. She has given more than 700 speeches, radio broadcasts, and webcasts since 1995, and she was the first attorney to chair SHRM’s mega-chapter in Dallas.

You will find Audrey at her alma mater, Kansas State University, at football games in the fall. She is also the president of the Kansas State Texans alumni club, past chair of the K-State Alumni Association board of directors and serves on four K-State boards.

Amanda’s passion is trademark law. She chairs MWM’s soft IP practice advising companies on all aspects of their trademark and copyright portfolios. She has represented companies in a variety of fields including technology, video games, restaurant services, toys, fashion, and finance. Amanda represents chocolatier Kate Weiser and game developer Playful Corp. among many others.

Amanda is a champion for improved diversity and inclusion in the legal field and beyond. She leads firm events focused on those initiatives as well as women’s empowerment. Amanda is a proud alumna of Bryn Mawr College and values the friendships and connections she made in college that still exist today. In her spare time, Amanda plays tennis and coaches her daughter’s lacrosse team.
