Edward (Ed) I. Jorgenson is senior counsel, practicing in the technology/intellectual property law group.  He has extensive experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications for a wide range of mechanical, chemical and computer related inventions including mail sorting equipment, underground boring equipment, polymers, polymer additives and polymer catalysts, orthodontic devices, catheters, electro-optical connectors, automated business systems along with other devices and methods.

Ed has prepared numerous opinions relating to patent validity and infringement, prepared and prosecuted numerous trademark applications and has provided advice and counsel to clients regarding patents, copyrights, trade secrets and related issues.

Prior to and while attending law school, Ed was employed as an engineer by Inland Steel Company of East Chicago Indiana. He also served in the United States Air Force.
