Elliott C. Riches is an associate practicing in the firm’s litigation group. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation.
While in law school, Elliott received numerous awards for academic excellence and trial and appellate advocacy. He was also involved as an assistant coach for Wake Forest’s Undergraduate Mock Trial Team, a member of the Appellate Advocacy Clinic, editor of the Wake Forest Law Review, and research assistant for a Professor of Law, and a competitor on the law school’s trial teams.

Prior to law school, Elliott attended Baylor University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2018 as part of the Baylor Business Fellows program, completing additional majors in economics and political science as well as a minor in mathematics. He also received his M.S. in economics from Baylor University in 2018. In 2021, he graduated from Wake Forest University Law School, manga cum laude.
Prior to joining MWM, he worked with the United States Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia’s Major Crime Section and Civil Division, and the Office of State Attorney, 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida’s Career Criminals Unit.
