Munck Wilson Mandala welcomes employment and labor attorney Teresa Hudson to the firm’s Houston office. Hudson brings nearly 30 years of experience as an accomplished human resources executive, certified mediator, and employment and labor attorney. She joins MWM as a principal attorney representing clients in a variety of employment and labor disputes, regulatory matters, and helping clients align complex HR programs with business objectives. Hudson previously worked as a senior counsel at Hicks Thomas LLP in Houston.
In addition to working in-house and as a human resource executive, Hudson successfully founded and ran The Hudson Law Group, where she represented clients before numerous regulatory agencies and in all phases of litigation brought under various federal and state statutes, including the Fair Labor and Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act (as amended), Title IX of the Civil Rights Act, and the Texas Labor Code. She is recognized as a trusted leader and establishes rapport with all levels of staff, management, board members, and business partners.
Hudson’s track record includes successfully defending an employer through a multi-million-dollar class action filed under the Private Attorney General Act and settling for five percent of what the class sought in damages. She has also successfully defended employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, and the Texas Workforce Commission in claims ranging from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.

Hudson received her J.D. from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law, and she earned her B.A. in social sciences from Tulane University in New Orleans.
