Munck Wilson Mandala, a leading tech-focused law firm, welcomes new principal attorney Hermine Valizadeh. Valizadeh brings nearly 15 years of legal experience as well as direct industry experience to the firm. She joins a team of more than 70 attorneys representing businesses in three of the fastest-growing tech economies in the U.S. – Austin, Dallas, and Los Angeles. Valizadeh previously practiced as a partner in the Los Angeles office of Ladas and Parry.
The addition of Valizadeh further enriches MWM’s robust IP legal services. Focusing her practice on patent prosecution and litigation in the electrical and computer/software arts, Valizadeh also represents clients in gaming and exercise technologies. She also advises clients on trademarks, branding, copyrights, and licensing matters.
Prior to her legal career, Valizadeh spent several years working at corporations as well as consulting companies. Valizadeh has extensive technology experience that covers all facets of systems and systems engineering. Her knowledge and professional experience include architecture design and implementation, operating systems, security design and implementation, networks, and database development.
Valizadeh is a member of the Iranian American Bar Association, serving as president of the Los Angeles Chapter. She previously served on its national board of directors and is a past president of the Chicago Chapter. Valizadeh also served on the Associate Board of the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms – an organization seeking racial and ethnic diversity in the legal profession by collaborating with its law firm and corporate membership to drive sustainable institutional change at law firms and corporate legal departments. Valizadeh received her J.D. from the New England School of Law and her Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering with distinction from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
