Munck Wilson Mandala has added principal attorney Alexander Uber to the firm’s intellectual property and litigation practices. Uber will split his time between the firm’s Houston and Waco offices. He previously worked as an associate at Gray Reed & McGraw.

Uber brings eight years of legal experience managing and prosecuting IP matters, and his commercial litigation experience includes representing clients in breach of contract and fraud matters. He has represented clients across numerous industries including energy, telecommunications, medical devices, software, and consumer goods. His varied background ranges from complex IP litigation, commercial litigation, due diligence, advising on IP portfolio matters, and assisting M&A and corporate attorneys.

Uber’s legal career includes establishing his own solo practice, building a strong base in litigation and various legal services, and working as an assistant attorney for a specialized patent group in Austin, Texas. In 2020, Uber returned to Baylor, his law school alma mater, as a fully-fledged lawyer to teach the law sections that he formerly sat in. He continues to serve as an adjunct professor at Baylor Law School, assisting with Baylor University’s Intellectual Property Law Clinic.

Uber earned his J.D. from Baylor Law School where he was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity and participated in the Veterans Law Clinics, providing legal assistance to veterans in need. Uber received his Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Rice University. He is licensed to practice in the Eastern District Court of Texas, the U.S. Court of Federal Appeals, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
