Dallas, TX, Jul. 12, 2022 — Munck Wilson Mandala has added associate Katherine Schneider to the firm’s corporate practice. Schneider brings eight years of corporate and securities legal experience in financial advising, government compliance, and complex business litigation. She previously worked as a business transactional and litigation associate at Sbaiti and Company PLLC, a boutique law firm in Dallas, TX.
Schneider represents corporate clients in mergers and acquisitions, securities law, and compliance issues. She began her legal career working as a legal extern at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, in both the Office of Enforcement and the International Office, and working with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, in the Division of Trading and Markets, Division of Enforcement, and the Office of the General Counsel.
Upon graduating from law school, Schneider took a position with the SEC as an attorney-advisor in the Division of Corporation Finance, before working for private law firms in Washington D.C. and Dallas. Her unique background includes working on transactional and litigation matters. Schneider’s transactional experience covers a wide variety of entity formation, corporate restructuring, contract review and negotiation, and private offerings of securities in multiple industries. She has also been involved in all levels of securities litigation, ranging from document production and organization to drafting summary judgment motions to responding to SEC subpoenas and appearing before the SEC and FINRA for testimony and arguments, as well as internal investigations.
Schneider received her J.D. from the Catholic University of America, graduating cum laude. She was a National Quarterfinalist in the Irving R. Kaufman Memorial Securities Law Moot Court Competition, and she was the associate editor of the Journal of Contemporary Health Law and Policy. Schneider earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
