Stephanie H. Elovitz serves as the firm’s corporate counsel, director of administration, and director of recruiting. Stephanie is a litigation attorney who focuses on dispute resolution and collections in addition to firm administration and legal recruiting and staffing. She has experience in claim investigation, collection efforts, demand letters and responses, reviewing contracts, employment compliance, conflicts issues, and negotiating settlements.
Stephanie leads the firm’s talent acquisition efforts with a specific focus on attorneys and the successful integration of their practices into the firm. She brings an innovative and strategic approach to talent acquisition and integration that is grounded in best practices across recruiting, business operations, diversity and inclusion initiatives, marketing, business development, and client service. She plays a key role in the firm’s initiatives to increase the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and is also in charge of the firm’s summer associate program.
As director of administration, Stephanie manages and develops strategies, processes, and policies related to building and retaining an exceptional team of law firm professionals across all offices.
Stephanie received her B.B.A. in marketing from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993 and earned her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1996. In addition to being a litigation attorney, she has extensive legal recruiting experience with both a large national staffing firm as well as a Texas-based boutique firm. Prior to joining MWM, Stephanie utilized her broad range of legal experience to bring a unique perspective to her role as executive director for Okon Hannagan, PLLC.
