Executive Assistant - Dallas

Munck Wilson Mandala is looking for a high level executive assistant to provide administrative support to the firm's executive committee and directors in the Dallas office. The ideal candidate should be well-organized and be comfortable scheduling meetings, speaking with clients and handing highly sensitive and confidential information. A high level of professionalism, attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills and top-notch administrative expertise in a law firm or similar corporate environment are required.
    Responsibilities
    • Calendar management for partners
    • Aid partners in preparing for meetings
    • Responding to emails and document requests
    • Draft correspondence, meeting notes and documents
    • Client interaction as well as supporting firm's executive committee, partners and directors on various projects
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
    • Experience in managing multiple priorities, administrative coordination, and logistics
    • Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task with great follow-up skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Litigation Legal Assistant - Los Angeles and Dallas

Munck Wilson Mandala is currently seeking a litigation legal assistant for its Los Angeles and Dallas offices to support as many as four busy attorneys and/or paralegals in a highly collaborative working environment. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 7 years of legal assistant or secretarial experience with significant exposure to a commercial litigation practice in a mid to large-sized law firm. We will consider candidates who have worked in other professional services industries.  Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Preparing, finalizing and filing documents (i.e., declarations, power of attorneys, assignments, transmittals, extensions of time, information disclosure statements, etc.)
  • Preparing and finalizing client correspondence; maintaining attorney docket
  • Handling legal assistant and administrative tasks including document preparation, time entry, expense reimbursement, telephone contact, travel arrangements and calendar maintenance
  • Handling administrative confidential/sensitive firm and/or client information and providing excellent client service
Qualified candidates must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, e-filing, styles and brief formatting. Candidate should have experience with federal and state e-filing, trial preparation, Table of Contents, and Table of Authorities. Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication, proofreading, and organizational skills. Candidates should also be detail-oriented, be able to multitask and prioritize the workload independently, and be comfortable working in a high volume, high energy environment. Subrogation Paralegal - Dallas

Our Firm is currently in the process of recruiting an experienced Subrogation Paralegal. This position will provide support for a busy team of attorneys in a highly collaborative working environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Draft correspondence to potential targets, attorneys, courts, third parties, etc.
  • Draft status letters to clients.
  • Draft and file pleadings, including research of parties’ via secretary of state
  • Docketing daily Trial schedules, statutes of limitations and deadlines.
  • Prepare initial drafts of discovery to propound and discovery objections and responses.
  • Manual and electronic document reviews.
  • Prepare hearing, deposition, mediation and trial notebooks and exhibits.
  • Perform legal research.
  • Maintain deadlines calendar.
  • Schedule mediations, depositions, conference calls, etc.
  • Coordinate multiparty examinations of scenes and evidence.
  • E-filing on the state and federal level.
  • Coordinate service of process.
  • Trial preparation and attend trials.

Experience & Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years litigation trial experience (plaintiff side preferred).
  • The candidate will have the ability to work in a high volume, high energy environment.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to provide excellent client/customer service.
  • Qualified candidates must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and E-Filing. Must exhibit strong typing skills and have the ability to learn and quickly become proficient in new computer software programs.
  • Available for some overtime is required.
