Munck Wilson Mandala welcomes intellectual property and trademark partner Kristin Kosinski to the firm’s Los Angeles office. Kosinski brings more than 22 years of legal experience representing domestic and international clients in entertainment, finance, fashion, health, technology, beverages, and other industries. Among her services, she advises clients on trademark, copyright, and licensing matters. Kosinski previously worked as a partner with Cislo and Thomas LLP in Los Angeles.

“We are delighted to have Kristin join our team,” said William A. Munck, managing partner of MWM and chair of the award-winning intellectual property group.  “She brings exceptional legal skills that complement our IP, entertainment, and finance practices, and she boosts our trademark power on the West Coast.”

“Kristin will no doubt fortify the firm’s strengths in trademark and intellectual property services,” said leading trademark partner John Cain.  “Adding a partner with her skills in our LA office is a major win for our clients and we look forward to working with her.”

Kosinski is well known for ensuring her clients’ brands are protected and sensible strategies are developed through the life cycle of the brand, including brand name clearance, enforcement, and litigation if necessary. She also advises clients on entertainment contracts, and she helps license trademarks for luxury goods.

Well-versed in IP law, Kosinski’s skills include guiding clients through copyright matters, domain name conflicts, and proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She is a registered patent attorney and boasts considerable experience in patent law, preparing and prosecuting applications for wearable devices, cosmetics, beauty products, nutrition supplements, biotechnology, and consumer products.

Kosinski also provides due diligence on IP assets in corporate transactions and financing, ensuring that her clients’ assets are protected and the deals her clients want to close have the appropriate language and legal clauses in place to protect IP assets for both startups and established businesses.

Considered a subject matter expert, Kosinski is frequently published on topics related to IP in fashion, branding in the metaverse, and other hot topics in the industry. She is a member of the International Trademark Association and the INTA Panel of Trademark Mediators. She is also a member of the American Bar Association and Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association.

Kosinski received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and she graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in biology from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.
