Munck Wilson Mandala has opened an office in South Florida, led by intellectual property partner Amanda Greenspon. The office is in Boca Raton and will serve as the easternmost hub for Munck Wilson’s global business services.

“We have several attorneys with South Florida ties and Florida has long been part of our business strategy. We want offices in key high-tech markets throughout the country,” said managing partner William A. Munck. “This first Florida office will provide Munck Wilson with a strategic platform to recruit local talent and service new business in a region poised to continue attracting high-tech companies.”

The region from Miami up the east coast through West Palm Beach is referred to as the “Silicon Valley of the East Coast.” This region of Florida, and particularly Miami, ranks number one among recent high-tech hub listings across the US. It also ranks number one in the Southeast in venture capital dollars invested.
Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, Munck Wilson Mandala grew by focusing its legal service offerings on high-tech company, innovator, investor, and entrepreneur needs. Headquartered in Dallas, MWM is one of the largest technology-focused law firms across the southern US and boasts additional Texas-based offices in Austin, Houston, Waco, and Marshall, as well as an office in Los Angeles opened in early 2018.

“Over the past year, Munck Wilson has won a top-20 US verdict (for trade secret theft), secured a precedential anti-website-scraping judgement for a major airline, and closed multiple multibillion-dollar acquisitions,” said Munck. “Our objective in launching our South Florida office is to bring the same legal successes to Southeast Florida’s burgeoning tech-oriented economy by leveraging the power of our deep trial, transactional, and high-tech bench.

“We are excited about this new office and the potential for growth in a region that is dynamic and forward thinking,” said Jenny Martinez, co-chair of Munck Wilson’s trial practice. “We already have attorneys like Rob Linkin, a commercial litigator who will operate his practice in our South Austin and South Florida offices, Amanda Greenspon, who established a global trademark and copyright practice in the Miami market over the past six years, Josie Leinart, who will travel between our LA and South Florida offices for her sports, NIL, and corporate practice, and Mario Donato, who will expand his patent and trade secret practice from Texas and Florida.” Martinez further projected that the firm plans to grow the South Florida office to as many as 15 attorneys by the end of 2023.
