Munck Wilson Mandala has added litigation partner Carolyn Raines to the firm’s complex litigation/dispute resolution group. Raines brings more than 27 years of legal experience representing clients in state and federal courts, arbitrations, regulatory actions, and class actions. She manages complex litigation, advises clients in sophisticated business matters, and counsels clients on employment issues.  Prior to joining Munck Wilson Mandala, Raines was a shareholder at Godwin Bowman PC in Dallas.

“Adding Carolyn to our litigation team was a big win for us and we owe this success to the recruiting skills of our co-chair of litigation Jenny Martinez.  She was integral in our efforts to bring Carolyn over to our team,” said managing partner William A. Munck.

“Carolyn and I have worked together for many years.  She is a top-notch attorney with impressive business and project management skills.  It is a pleasure to be working with her again,” said Martinez.

With a proven ability to manage large volumes of cases and supervise teams of dozens of attorneys and paralegals, Raines is a great fit for MWM’s growing securities and enforcement practice.  Her versatility also makes her an asset to various other practice areas and industries, including banking, financial services, energy, real estate, insurance, consumer products, and manufacturing.

In addition to her complex litigation and class action work, Raines represents investment firms, hedge funds, and registered representatives in state and federal courts, arbitrations and regulatory actions involving fraud, forgery, unsuitability, unauthorized trading, and violations of federal and state securities law.

“We take great pride in our securities litigation practice at MWM.  Carolyn is knowledgeable, experienced, and tenacious.  She is a valuable addition to our securities practice, as well as other practice areas, who will provide enhanced services for our clients,” said MWM litigation partner Shain Khoshbin.

Raines is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, and Executive Women of Dallas. She received her J.D., with honors from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law where she was an Order of the Coif Scholar and editor of the SMU Law Review. She holds a B.A. in finance from Texas Tech University.
