Munck Wilson Mandala is currently seeking a litigation legal assistant for its growing Los Angeles office located in the heart of Century City to effectively support as many as four busy attorneys and/or paralegals in a highly collaborative working environment. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of litigation legal assistant or secretarial experience with significant exposure to complex commercial, intellectual property, real estate and/or labor and employment litigation in a mid to large-sized law firm.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing, finalizing and filing documents (i.e., declarations, power of attorneys, assignments, transmittals, extensions of time, information disclosure statements, etc.)
  • Preparing and finalizing client correspondence; maintaining attorney docket
  • Handling legal assistant and administrative tasks including document preparation, time entry, expense reimbursement, telephone contact, travel arrangements and calendar maintenance
  • Handling administrative confidential/sensitive firm and/or client information and providing excellent client service

Qualified candidates must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, iManage, e-filing, styles and brief formatting.  Candidate should have experience with federal and state e-filing, trial preparation, Table of Contents, and Table of Authorities. Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication, proofreading, and organizational skills. Candidates should also be detail-oriented, be able to multitask and prioritize the workload independently, have great follow up and follow through skills, and be comfortable working in a high-volume, high-energy environment. The position is on-site five days a week. Availability for some overtime is required as needed.

Munck Wilson Mandala, LLP is seeking a Director of AI & Technology Innovation to join the firm’s Dallas office and lead the firm’s strategic planning, development, adoption, and implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology innovations. This role will work closely with the firm’s practice groups to understand their business needs to provide practical AI solutions to improve productivity and efficiency, and ensure that the AI solutions align with the firm’s overall objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and execution-driven professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in tech and innovation, with legal experience preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the firm’s AI strategy, aligning AI initiatives with firm business goals and client needs
  • Research, identify, and evaluate emerging AI technologies and platforms relevant to legal practice to determine implementation
  • Identify and understand the challenges unique to litigation, intellectual property, corporate, real estate, entertainment, and employment law
  • Assess and analyze workflows across all practice areas to determine high-impact AI applications to increase firm efficiencies
  • Lead and manage AI-related projects from inception to completion
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Work closely with attorneys, administration, staff, IT, and vendors to ensure seamless deployment
  • Develop firmwide training tailored to each practice group
  • Conduct live training sessions and create quick reference guides
  • Instruct users in AI best practices, including prompt query formation and other methods to ensure accurate and reliable output
  • Support users in adopting new technologies and foster a culture that embraces AI innovation
  • Ensure client data security, model transparency, and responsible use practices
  • Define success metrics and establish and monitor KPIs
  • Monitor performance of AI systems, create feedback loops, and conduct quarterly optimization reviews

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a professional services or legal setting with a minimum of 3 years of experience implementing or working with AI technologies
  • Actual AI technology development and programming experience preferred
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
