Marco Robertson is an associate in the corporate and transactional group, specializing in mergers & acquisitions, securities law, and sports & entertainment law. He represents clients in a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers, asset purchases, stock purchases, and corporate restructurings.

Marco provides expert guidance on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and securities matters. Additionally, he has significant experience advising on private placement offerings, particularly within the oil & gas sector, and ensures compliance with both federal and state reporting requirements.

Marco graduated from Tulane University Law School cum laude and received the Dean’s Medal for having the highest GPA in his third year of law school. While in New Orleans, Marco founded the Tulane Texas Law Society, was a managing editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, and he was the head coach of the Tulane Men’s Lacrosse team. Marco earned his Bachelor of Arts in honors communications from Texas A&M University, where he graduated cum laude. While in College Station, he was the captain of the Texas A&M Men’s Lacrosse team, served as the housing manager for the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, and was a member of the communications honor society Lambda Pi Eta.

Marco is fluent in Spanish and conversational in French.

  • Represented clients in numerous private placements of interests in partnerships formed for oil and gas exploration and ownership of income-producing oil and gas properties, in amounts ranging from $500,000 to $20 million.
  • Representation of Tyler Technologies, Inc. in various acquisitions, including the $22.5 million cash and stock merger acquisition of ARInspect, Inc. and $36 million cash and stock merger acquisition of Computing System Innovations following an F-Reorganization.
  • Represented buyer in connection with an asset purchase with a US subsidiary of a UK based company for the purchase price of approximately $10 million.
  • Represented buyer in connection with the acquisition of an apartment complex for the purchase price of $84.15 million, and an acquisition loan of $54.95 million.
  • Represented buyer in connection with the acquisition of a tract of land in North Texas for the development of apartments, and a construction loan in the amount of $16 million.
  • Represented Seller in connection with sale of an apartment complex in North Texas for the purchase price of $19.1 million.
  • Represented seller in connection with the sale of an apartment complex in North Texas for the purchase price of $50.25 million and a Fannie Mae loan assignment/assumption to the buyer.
