Rocio Palomo is a partner and co-chair of the firm’s Technology Transactions, Privacy & Cybersecurity group. Rocio helps clients navigate the complexities of the full spectrum of technology and data matters. She advises on technology transactions, data protection, cybersecurity, and product compliance, helping clients structure and negotiate sophisticated commercial agreements while ensuring regulatory compliance and strategic growth, including agreements supporting cloud ecosystems, digital infrastructure deployments, and transactions involving large enterprise and hyperscale cloud counterparties.
Rocio represents both vendors and buyers in domestic and international transactions involving software licensing, cloud and infrastructure services, data sharing, outsourcing and digital platform development. She is particularly sought after for her work on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) projects, where she helps clients develop governance frameworks, responsible-use policies, and contract templates that address ethical AI, intellectual property ownership, and algorithmic accountability.
Her privacy and cybersecurity practice encompasses U.S. and international regulatory compliance, incident response, data transfer mechanisms, and vendor risk management. Rocio frequently works with clients in technology, financial services, retail, and digital health to operationalize privacy and AI regulatory requirements while maintaining business agility.
Rocio also advises clients on commercial and technology agreements supporting data center and digital infrastructure projects, including matters involving cloud ecosystems, hardware deployment, and high-density compute environments. She regularly helps clients structure agreements that address performance, data, and operational requirements associated with transactions involving large enterprise and hyperscale cloud counterparties.
Before private practice, Rocio served as in-house counsel for a high-growth technology start-up later acquired by a Fortune 50 company, providing her with first-hand insight into the operational and strategic demands of scaling technology businesses.
