Her commanding cross-examination in a case resulting in a $10.1 million patent infringement verdict in favor of MWM’s client was a key moment during the trial that neutralized the opponent’s defense.

Jordan clerked for MWM through law school and was inducted into the Order of the Coif upon graduating in the top 10 percent of her class from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.

Jordan has played a critical role in high stakes litigation cases handling complex research, briefing, and argument for patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and other IP-related matters.
Jordan C. Strauss is a litigation partner, focusing her practice primarily on intellectual property disputes as well as other complex commercial litigation matters. Jordan has represented clients in intellectual property cases involving a wide range of technologies, including light sensing technology, pharmaceuticals, computer hardware and software, and telecommunication devices and networks. Jordan has played a critical role in the successful outcome of multiple trials for MWM’s clients as well as the honors and recognitions MWM has received in recent years.
Through her involvement in organizing the inaugural SHE Summit Dallas event, Jordan has become an advocate for diversity and inclusion and women’s empowerment efforts inside and outside of the firm. Jordan also plays an integral role in recruiting and mentoring MWM’s young attorneys.
Jordan graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from Southern Methodist University, where she received the Ora Nixon Arnold Award in Outstanding Academic Achievement as the highest-ranking political science graduate, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. She received her J.D., graduating magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. Jordan was inducted into the Order of the Coif upon graduation in 2013 (top 10% of her class). While in law school, Jordan also served as a teaching assistant for SMU’s Legal Research & Writing Department.
