Alex focuses his practice on patent litigation. Alex earned his J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law, where he graduated in the top 2% of his class and then went on to become the top scorer on the July 2022 Texas Bar Exam.

Prior to law school, Alex received a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Oklahoma. During his academic years, Alex worked on IP issues for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. In addition, he served as a judicial intern for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

  • Defending leading dermatology pharmaceutical company in intellectual property case seeking $200 million; obtained summary judgment in favor of clients on damages, noninfringement on all asserted patents and no misappropriation of trade secrets
  • Representing electric-vehicle company in multi-million-dollar litigation involving claims of trade secret misappropriation, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, and unfair competition
  • Defending hoverboard manufacturer in case alleging infringement of utility and design patents
  • Defending automobile manufacturer in patent litigation
  • Defended all claims of a patent in post-grant review, obtaining reversal of institution decision
  • Representing plaintiffs in district court and appellate proceedings involving claims of defamation and trade libel
  • Representing electric-vehicle company in appellate proceedings related to denial of motion to compel arbitration
