Payal Sircar (Majumdar), PhD, is a patent technical specialist in the Houston office with extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications in electrical, electronics, computer and mechanical engineering.
Her technical experience spans 5G/6G telecommunications, artificial intelligence and machine learning, software, medical devices, and oil and gas technologies. She brings more than 20 years of research and education experience, along with strong analytical, mathematical and technical writing skills.
Payal has worked with clients on patent preparation and prosecution throughout her career. Her research background includes RF and microwave electronics, metamaterials, frequency selective surfaces, transmission lines and antenna design. Her post-doctoral research resulted in multiple patents involving wireless LAN antennas, broadband radomes and microwave radomes.
Payal earned a PhD in Microwave Electronics from the University of Delhi, where her doctoral research focused on analytical modeling of single and multilayer planar transmission lines. She also holds a master’s degree in electronics and communication from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya and a bachelor’s degree in applied science in electronics from the University of Delhi.
