Quintin Cassady brings a rare blend of executive leadership and frontline legal experience to Munck Wilson Mandala’s corporate and life sciences practices. With more than 30 years of experience spanning private practice and in-house leadership, Quintin is widely recognized as an international authority in legal strategy, compliance, and complex transactions within the life sciences and biotech sectors.

Quintin spent more than two decades at Galderma Laboratories, where he rose to Vice President, General Counsel, and Compliance Officer for North America. In this role, he guided the legal and compliance strategy for a global portfolio of pharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer health products, with a particular focus on dermatology, injectable aesthetics, and consumer products.  Most recently, he also served as Vice President and General Counsel for almost five years to highly regarded New Jersey based biotech, Modern Meadow, during a critical period of growth.

His practice is defined by a powerful combination of strategic insight and operational execution. Quintin has led more than 30 mergers, acquisitions, and licensing transactions representing over $10 billion in global revenue, and has extensive experience in due diligence, antitrust analysis, and post-acquisition integration. He is equally adept in navigating complex regulatory and compliance frameworks, advising on both reimbursed and cash-pay healthcare products across evolving regulatory landscapes.

A seasoned litigation and intellectual property strategist, Quintin has successfully managed more than 50 patent litigation matters, including multiple USPTO inter partes review proceedings, as well as a wide range of IP-driven transactional disputes. His ability to align legal strategy with business objectives makes him a trusted advisor to executive leadership teams and boards.

  • Handled legal for a biotech with leading technology platforms that harness the unique properties of proprietary proteins in biomaterials in support of internationally known luxury, tech accessory, automotive and upholstery brands including Tory Burch, Mercedes-Benz and Bellroy as well as industry leading tanneries including Limonta, Pasubio and Heller.
  • Coordinated IPR proceedings; obtaining non-institution decision on three petitions – Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Ltd v. Galderma Laboratories, Inc. Cases IPR 2015-01777, -01778, -01782.
  • Provided independent consulting to several private companies regarding strategies on litigation, M&A, drug development and reimbursement, compliance, go-to-market strategies, legal department structure, transfer price modeling and outside counsel usage.
  • Managed legal aspects of $420M acqusition of NASDAQ-listed CollaGenex Pharmaceuticals and subsequent integration into client business.
  • Spearheaded reversals of non-infringement verdict in ANDA litigation regarding the prescription drug, SOOLANTRA, and negotiated long-term settlement with first and second ANDA filers.
  • Managed ANDA case through judgment at trial, affirmation on appeal, and permanent injunction concerning prescription drug ORACEA – Galderma et al. v. Amneal Pharmaceuticals et al., Civil Action No. 6-207 (LPS) (D. Del.), 2020. Protected $1B+ in sales through end of 2025.
  • Handled development and license agreements with third parties related to active compounds ultimately developed for commercial successful dermatology prescription products with global sales of $5B+ including ROSANIL (sodium sulfacetamide) cleanser, DESOWEN (desonide) gel 0.5%, METROGEL (metronidazole) gel 1%, SOOLANTRA (ivermectin) cream 1%.
  • Managed IP diligence for unsuccessful $6B bid in auction on FTC compelled divestiture of biologic prescription product.
  • Protected approximately $250M in revenues by negotiating settlements on ANDA litigations on CLOBEX (Clobetasol Propionate) Lotion 0.05% and CLOBEX (Clobetasol Propionate) Shampoo 0.05%.
