William G. Howison is a partner in the firm’s technology/intellectual property law group, where he focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patents, and acquiring, licensing and enforcing patent rights, trademark rights, trade secrets, and copyrights. He represents companies and inventors on patent applications, patent protection and prosecution, and various other legal matters.
William received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and he earned an M.S. and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Rice University. William is the co-inventor of a patented haptic device gripper used for surgical teleoperation. Prior to joining Munck Wilson Mandala, William practiced intellectual property law as an associate in the Dallas office of a national law firm.
