David is the managing partner of MWM’s North Dallas office, a member of the executive committee, and a leading partner in the intellectual property practice. He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has more than 25 years of experience counseling companies in the identification and protection of their intellectual property assets.
David’s experience in the preparation and prosecution of patents in high technology includes artificial intelligence and machine learning, semiconductor devices and device fabrication, hardware and software development for computer and other data processing systems, process control systems, military and defense systems, and landline and wireless telecommunications systems.
Before joining Munck Wilson Mandala, David was an associate at a multinational, general practice law firm in Dallas. Prior to his legal career, he worked as a test programmer for a telecommunications company.
David’s extensive experience includes patent preparation, prosecution, appeals, enforcement and defense, long-range strategies for domestic and international patent procurement, portfolio management, licensing, patentability, infringement, validity, third-party reexamination proceedings, and Inter Partes Reviews.
